Born in Rockford, Illinois in 1967, I lived primarily in the Chicago area, save brief times in New York and North Carolina. In 1984 I began school at the University of Wisconsin and spent my second year at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. I graduated with a major in international relations and a minor in economics.
On a whim, I moved to Taos in 1989 while visiting during spring break. I met Ted at the Taos Inn and it didn’t take long to become his wife and stepmother to Risa and Corey. Together, Ted and I had Erica and Claudia, adding to the family we have raised together for over 20 years.
Taos took me very much by surprise. I spent the first couple of years with difficulty imagining how I could acclimate and live in a small community after coming from Chicago. Now, I am unable to imagine living elsewhere. The community Taos has provided for me and my family is invaluable and irreplaceable. My interests, not in order of preference, are skiing, tennis, travel, gardening, cooking, and reading.
My career in the mortgage industry began 20 years ago in the support position of loan processor, working my way up to include management, loan officer, and eventual business owner. I enjoy the ever-changing aspect of the industry – whatever happens on Monday could be negated by Friday. Solving problematic and challenging situations is my favorite part of this work. I look forward to having the opportunity to help you with your mortgage needs.
